Hey there, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m going to be summarizing up my crazy week and showing you the work that I have to show for it. I’m not going to link my group’s final show, because I think we’re supposed to keep that under wraps, but everyone will get a chance to see it soon!
I did almost all of my editing with Audacity, and I’m really starting to get good with it. In total, I probably spent close to 6 or 7 hours editing my work, re-recording it, and making sure it sounded the way I wanted. (This went down to me zooming in and editing out my breathing sounds on a lot of my monologues. I think overall it makes the audio sound way more polished! Definitely worth looking into if you are trying to make your own audio a little more polished.
Amongst some of the other things that I learned this week, I also learned how to pull songs off of the internet and turn them into MP3 files manually. I think this is a good skill to have and I’m sure I will use it in the future at one point or another. All of these things I have learned while editing, developing, and polishing my audio are going to help me going forward in our classes to create some really awesome sound productions, and I’m looking forward to that.
Despite not having any weekly assignments for this week, my other classes made sure I had no shortage of work to do, so don’t worry about me relaxing too much everyone! Trust me- this week was probably the busiest week I’ve had in over two years. So needless to say, the fact that we didn’t have any star assignments was a godsend.
Thanks for reading, everyone!
